This year I finally found a few morels out in the woods, not just in a coworker's yard like the last two years. I was up in northern Minnesota over the weekend and found this one on a trail near the Vermillion River. It was so satisfying to find one out on the trail. Later someone at the resort where I was staying pointed me to a patch of morels growing just a couple hundred yards from my cabin, but finding morels there wasn't nearly as satisfying.
